We have a grass cutting problem. This is not the banks and paths that our fantastic team of cutters look after, but the grass around our boatsand the currently unused areas beyond our boats. We have an obligation to keep this under control (no longer than 6 inches), and due to a reservoir inspection that is likely to happen in around 6 weeks time, we have to do something about this. If we do not then we may have certain sanctions imposed by Thames Water, which would seriously affect our sailing.
Please, in the next 3 weeks (preferably sooner than later), make sure that the grass around your boat is cut, this also includes the grass behind your boat on the slope down to the fence. The club has a number of strimmers available, and we will be hiring in a few more over the next few weeks, so there should be no excuses for not doing so.
We have the Commodores day on Sunday, and during the afternoon there will be lots of people around whilst our children enjoy the fun day, so perhaps this would be a good time to get together and crack this.
