50th Anniversary Race

  • Island Barn reservoir sailing club in East Molesley celebrated its 50th Birthday on the 5th July 2009.
    Over 40 Boats completed in the morning together with a junior race event and a lunch where over 100 guests enjoyed a hog roast.
    In the afternoon the younger members of the club had a great time on the water competing in various fun races.


    Commodore Robert Pettit presented the prizes to the winners with Peter Curtis winning the Commodore’s Plate
    2nd Gareth Griffiths in a Solo
    3rd Graham Hughes in a Graduate

    The Junior winner (of the Rotary Cup) was Tom Newman in a Topper.
    1st Laser Evan Cairns.
