Coronavirus (COVID 19) Update 17/4/2020

  • covid 19

    Dear members

Last night the committee met and discussed the current situation at the sailing club. In line with UK Government advice we have decided to continue the temporary closure of the club. We plan to meet again in 3 weeks to review the advice.

Sadly we have decided to cancel TrySail, RYA First Aid Course and the Powerboat course due to take place in May. We are investigating alternative options later in the summer for those who wish to participate in the courses. Once we get towards the end of the current restrictions we share the courses and options.

Just as a reminder, the closure extends to the following:

No sailing activities (either organised club sailing or members sailing outside of normal hours using the two boat rule)
No training activities on or off the water at the sailing club
No access to the clubhouse (cleaning and regular security checking will continue)

Members wishing to come to the club to collect their boats are welcome to access the club for this purpose. Please take care when touching surfaces such as the padlocks and wipe them down before and after use.

    Nick Marley
    Commodore IBRSC
