ISLAND BARN RESERVOIR SAILING CLUB
BRITISH YOUTH SAILING RECOGNISED CLUB
Training tomorrow's champions
Island Barn Reservoir Sailing Club is working with the RYA through the British Youth Sailing (BYS) Recognised Club Programme to help grow junior race training from club sailing to RYA Zone Squads through to Olympic Champions. As a BYS Recognised Club we are committed to helping junior sailors to develop their sailing and racing skills, and to encourage young sailors at all level to remain in the sport.
Island Barn Rsservoir Sailing Club encourages and helps young people to start sailing and helps them progress into racing. To achieve this we have a successful junior and youth training and racing programme that has seen our youths participate club racing, National Championships and in 2016 represent the UK in the Olympics. Our BYS Recognised Club status recognises the commitment of IBRSC to the development of junior and youth racing and race training. As a RYA affiliated club we ensure our all our training is delivered in a safe and fun environment.
At Island Barn Reservoir Sailing Club we run regular race training programmes in Oppies, Toppers, Fevas and Lasers (BYS Recognised Classes). Our training is delivered by qualified RYA Coaches to RYA Recognised Training Centre standards and to ensure the safety of all our young sailors we strictly follow the RYA Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy .
