< Back

Andrew Simpson Bart's Bash

Here is what it's all about:

Bart's Bash is a global sailing race taking place at 100s of venues, with 1000s of sailors in 100s of different classes of boat around the world. The event was founded in 2014 to remember and verified by Guinness World Records as ‘The Largest Sailing Race in the World’.

The race is a tribute to Andrew "Bart" Simpson who was killed in May 2013 while training for the America's Cup.  Orginally the event was to raise funds for the Andrew Simpson Foundation but since 2018 clubs have been able to use the event to riase money for whatever cuase they would like to recognise.
