     UPDATE - THE COURSE IS NOW FULL. 

    RYA First Aid course at the sailing club on Sunday February 25th

    The course has room for up to 12 people and we already have 12 signed up.

    We'd really like to get Sailing School parents and helpers to take this course.

    Apart from improving safety for our kids and helpers, it's also a pre-requisite for taking further RYA qualifications like Dinghy Instructor, so if you think you might ever want to get those qualifications then take this course!

    Young people are welcome if over 14 years old.

    If you've taken the course already - do remember it has to be renewed every three years.

    If you haven't one incentive might be that the RYA First Aid course also gives you the HSE 'Emergency First Aid at Work' qualification which some employers like or require.

    The course cost for participants is only £45 each and will run from about 0915 - 1730, covering all the usual first aid subjects but from a boating perspective.
