Summary Report:

It was windy, Force 5 gusting Force 6, and with nasty headers that were quite happy to dump even the best sailors into the water. As good an example of the challenging conditions as any was race 3, when successively 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th 6th and 9th place sailors capsized at or near the last mark of the race.

The series went right down to the last race, with last years winner Graham Lund holding a score of 1,1,2,2, and Gary Bullock holding a score of 3,2,1,1. A race win would give either the event, 2nd or 3rd ahead of Graham would be good enough for Gary, and any other placing a win for Graham. Predictably they had a ferocious match race in the challenging conditions, with local sailor Paul Wright-Anderson sometimes ahead, sometimes behind and sometimes the meat in the sandwich... Gary took the win and the series.
