The congratulations went to Anna Prescott and Jess Eales for winning the 2011 RS Feva Open at Island Barn Reservoir Sailing Club. They gave a master class in Feva sailing. Though both lightweights, their boat stayed level in even the worst morning gusts upwind, with heavier crews around them healing and skidding sideways, their gust preparation not quite at the same level. Anna and Jess extended their leads downwind with classic 'soaking' in gusts, 'up' in the lulls technique - their light weight did them no harm down wind, either. Three wins from the five races ensured they took overall first place from Samuel Grade and Katie Prescott. Island Barn's James Curtis and Harry Phelps finished in third place by one point from Matt Hill and Joe Reeve. The next day, 6 Fevas took part in Open Training where Jonathan Moss (ex Olympic 470 Squad) held a very full days coaching packed full with technique on all points of boat speed and tactics. Thank you Jonathan and all participants. Race 1
