RYA Qualifications for Junior Sailors

We are giving all sailing school members and junior club members the opportunity to gain their RYA stage 1, stages 1&2, stages 1.2&3, or stages 1,2,3,4 RYA certificates.

These will be of use for

Hiring boats elsewhere.
Applying to RYA squads.
Applying to become Instructors or Assistant Instructors.
Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

You can choose which of the 4 combinations suit you.
If you choose 4 and only pass you will get a stages 1,2,3 certificate.
But don't choose combination you know you will not pass as it wastes everyones time.
I can help you choose your level on Sunday if you are not sure.

The cost is £25 per person

I am expecting that the two main combinations will be 1&2 and 1,2,&3.

Sunday 10th July
Combination 1&2 will be tested

Sunday 24th July
Combination 1,2,3 will be tested
 

The testing will take part as part of a normal sailing school.

Most of the beginners are up to stage 1&2 now, in my view.

Many of the Topper group are up to stage 1,2,&3 now. The younger Topper sailors are up to 1,2

Many of the Feva group are up to stage 1,2,&3 now. The newer Topper sailors are up to 1,2

Looking at the items tested (see below), I would say knots are your shakiest, so practice these and anything else you recognise as problematical before Sunday.

The 12 will chosen on a first come first served basis.

You can send me the completed forms now to be sure of a place, otherwise give them to me on Sunday.
