FEVA OPEN SERIES, FEVA OPEN TRAINING, FEVA CLUB BOATS

Anyone who was at Island Barn at the weekend could see the Feva has well and truly arrived.

FEVA OPEN TRAINING
6 boats arrived for 2 days of Open Training.
With a steady Force 3 the whole weekend the training went really well, with training continuing to 5pm both days.

FEVA OPEN SERIES
Training was interrupted by the third of the WINTER OPEN SERIES RACES on Sunday morning and 9 FEVAS took part, 8 of them visitors - a great turn out for January.
The racing was very close at the front of the fleet.
At the back of the fleet, the coaches were advising - with Sailing Committee approval, of course!
The Open was won by National Squad members Anna Prescott and Jess Eales from Lymington James Curtis and Harry Phelps did well in a strong fleet to take 2nd on a tie break.
James and Harry are now leading the series with one event to go on Feb 27.
The Phelps family excelled themselves with Harry in a Feva, and Stuart and Pippa providing cordon bleu meals for all on both days. Many thanks Team Phelps

CLUB FEVAS
At 10 am on Saturday morning a trailer of 3 Fevas arrived.
Peter Curtis rigged all three boats and inspected them with forensic care.
He chose the best two (though they were all much the same) and the third was taken away. (Its still available - Feva sailors !!) So we now have 3 club Fevas and are well set up to become a leading Feva club.

FEVA FUTURE
We already have a Feva Open booked for the autumn, plus another Open Training session the day after - 8 & 9 October.
So a thank you to all involved with this FEVA push, particularly Peter and James Curtis who put in stacks of time and effort into forming the class and helping newcomers.

It wont have escaped Carl's attention that todays Feva sailors will be tomorrow's RS200 sailors.
