    NOTICE OF RACE

    1 RULES

    The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.

    2 ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY

    2.1 Entries are invited from any sailors in full time education, who are less than 19 years old on 31 August 2015.

    2.2 All recognized class dinghies are eligible. Racing will be by class if there are five or more entries in the class. Other entries will race under PY handicap.

    2.3 A responsible adult must be in attendance for each entrant, who must notify the organizing authority by countersigning the entry form.

    2.4 Entries and payment shall be made on the day of the event

    2.5 Team leaders or individuals are requested to notify entry numbers in advance by e-mailing a completed Advance Entry Form to:

    3 FEES

    Entry fees are as follows:
    Single-hander £8.00.
    Double-hander £12.00

    Cheques to be made payable to IBRSC.

    4 SCHEDULE

    4.1 Registration: 10 June from 09:00.

    4.3 Number of races: 4 max

    4.4 There will be a briefing for competitors on 10 June at 10:15.

    4.5 The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race is 11.00.

    5 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

    The sailing instructions will be available at registration.

    6 SCORING

    6.1 One race is required to be completed to constitute a series.

    1. (a) When fewer than three races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores.
    1. When three races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.

    7 PRIZES

    Trophies will be presented to class and handicap winners.

    8 SAFETY REGULATIONS

    Competitors shall wear personal flotation devices adequate for the conditions at all times whilst afloat.

    9 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

    Competitors are entirely responsible for their own safety, whether afloat or ashore, and nothing reduces this responsibility. It is for competitors to decide whether their boat and its helm and crew are fit to sail in the conditions that they might find. By launching or going to sea competitors confirm their boat is fit for those conditions and that they are competent to sail and compete in them. Nothing done by the organizers can reduce the responsibility of the owners and/or competitors, nor will it make the organizers responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury, however it may have occurred, as a result of the boat taking part in the racing. The organizers encompass everyone helping to run the event and include the organizing authority, race committee, race officer, safety officer, patrol boat personnel and beach masters. The provision of patrol boats does not relieve owners and competitors of their responsibilities.SC

    10 INSURANCE

    Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of £2million per event or the equivalent.

    11 GALLEY

    Hot breakfasts (Bacon Rolls) and Lunches will be available on the day for Competitors and non-sailors.
